Saving workspace variables

Postby rotekopler » Thu Jul 28, 2016 4:47 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to find an option to save my workspace variables using a program such the command " MCS " STORER DISK>D:\ADEPT\vars.VAR" " – so when the user press a button on my HMI its execute a command to save all my workspace variables so next time the system start the auto program will load the last variables the worker saved.

The problem with STORER is that its save only the real values and I want a file like the one created in the controller save configuration which contain all the variables so I can load it in my auto program.

Is such thing is possible?

Best regards,

Hi rotekopler,

you can use the STORER, STORES and STOREL Monitor commands to store the variables in 3 different files and than do 3 LOAD in the auto programm.

e.g.
MCS "STORER disk>d:\myreals.rl=rob.main
MCS "STOREL disk>d:\mylocs.lc=rob.main
MCS "STORES disk>d:\mystring.st=rob.main

Make sure to supply the main program name otherwise all ACE variables are stored as well.

auto programm
MC LOAD d:\myreals.rl
MC LOAD d:\mylocs.lc
MC LOAD d:\mystring.st

Best Regards
