GTYPE Funktion and variables

Postby molojose » Sun Apr 23, 2017 10:27 am

Hello,
while programming Windows with V+, I would like to display values (Numbers/Values from an existing variable) on a window. The funktion GTYPE lets me display strings. How do I do to display variables on a window?

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

if you use the SamrtController EX this is not available any more. eV+ does not support Graphical Windows.

Here is a link to the eV+ Language Reference Guide. It contains all program instructions and functions.
http://www1.adept.com/main/KE/DATA/eV%20Plus/eV%20Language%20Reference/vlangTOC.html

Here a link to the eV+ Language Users Guide. It contains chapters on how to program certain things, e.g. conveyor tracking. If you look at the chapter "Graphics Programming" you can see that it is not supported in eV+.
http://www1.adept.com/main/KE/DATA/eV%20Plus/eV%20Language%20User/V+Programming_TOC.html

If you use older controllers with V+ you can find examples in the V+ Language Users Guide. Chapter "Graphics Programming".

ACE does not display Graphics Windows. When using an old controller you can only see them in Adept Windows or in Adept Desktop.

Hi,
I am working with a very old controller and I am able to create windows. I already programmed those I need. Now I need to display not only Text but also variables.
Is this possible?
GTYPE is not doing the trick for me.

Hi,

it's been a while since I have used Graphics Windows.

Can you try this?
;***********************************************************
ATTACH(graph.lun, ^B100) "GRAPHICS"
IF IOSTAT(graph.lun,0) <> 1 THEN
TYPE "Error attaching the graphics window"
HALT
END

FOPEN (graph.lun) "My UI", "/MAXSIZE 300 300"
IF IOSTAT(graph.lun,0) <> 1 THEN
TYPE "Error opening the graphics window"
HALT
END
my.time = timer(-3)
GTYPE (graph.lun) 50, 50, "Seconds = " + $ENCODE(my.time)
;***********************************************************

Best Regards

Is there a way to display these strings in a PULLDOWN menu?
something like:
FSET (lun) "/PULLDOWN", event[2], $ENCODE($text)
This example wont work for me.

If possible, how would it work with more strings so that I can display a PULLDOWN menu with more options?

In the V+ Language User Guide is a whole chapter about Graphics Programming including Menus.
