Vision Based Conveyor Tracking

Hi i'm currently working on a system using vision based conveyor tracking. this system is just for part recognition so the objective is just to be able to track and select a piece off a moving conveyor. I have the conveyor and camera calibrated and the encoder is working accordingly and records the position in the conveyor que section. my problem is the sequence needed for this type of application as I am new to the software. the sequence I am currently using is below and the robot is just moving along the specified path but not recognising the part. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated
