Hello we are using a Beckhoff BK5220 Devicenet module with the Smartcontrolelr. If we use Adept ACE (current version) the output signals toggle randomly. If I use Adept Desktop or disconnect ACE this behaviour does not occur. What is the Problem?

Hi WallE,

are the outputs toggled if no tasks are running?

Please stop all tasks that your application is using and have a look at the outputs.

No it stops. Does it mean I got a Software bug. The strange thing is that it does not occur if i use Adept Desktop

Hi WallE,

I can't say for sure but I assume that the global ACE variables "interact" with your software. Meaning ACE uses global variables with the same name as you do.

Please make sure to avoit REAL(DOUBLE) and STRING variables that start with
"ca."
"fw."
"rm."
"sp."
"sv."

To check reboot the controller and connect with Adept Desktop. Then load you application and look at the global variables either in the Variable Manager or from the Monitor Terminal with
LISTR
LISTS
