Brake error on a brakeless axis.

Brake error on a brakeless axis.

Postby zasilmedina » Tue Aug 07, 2012 2:13 pm

Hi,
I have a 2 axis python module. One of the motionblox is showing two errors when I try to enable power: BK and S4.
Both axis have no brakes. The other Motionblox shows OK...
It is new, and we are powering on for the first time, all cables are well conected, the AC and DC supplies are fine (not droping down).
What should be causing this fault?

Thank you,..

It sounds as though the Python module was configured to have a brake even though it doesn't. It may have been improperly configured in the factory. I would recommend going through the configuration process to make sure it set up properly. The Python User Guide (attached) has information about how to configure the joints starting in section 10.4. If you have never configured an Adept Robot before I would recommend calling our Technical Support hotline (1-800-232-3378) and having them talk you through it. When you explain the situation they may also have other ideas of what is wrong.
Thanks
