Vicron arm, *Location too Close*

I recently helped a customer with a Vicron arm who was receiving the error *Location too Close.* They were programming in V+, version 15. The error occurred when the arm was at a position almost directly over the column, but a little behind. When they attempted to move the arm through the point directly over the column with a MOVES statement. One solution that worked was to insert a DRIVE before the MOVES to drive joint 3 forward through the "problem point." After the point of concern had been passed through the MOVES executed as expected. I suspect that another solution would have been to use a precision point for the destination, and move to with a joint move.
