Can I check If the teach wizard is activ?

Postby andreasw » Mon Aug 24, 2009 12:51 am

A customer just asked me, if it was possible to check that the process manager teach wizard is activ.
They need it, because they want to allow the operator to move the belt during the teach procedure.
So they want to set a signal to true when the teach wizard starts and set it to false when it ends.

At this time, there is no way to tell if an application is in a teach sequence.

However, they can enable belt control in the belt object and wire it to an output signal. In the teach sequence, when they turn on the belt, it will fire the output. Their PLC can ignore this signal when in runtime.

If they do this, they would want to configure the process manager to not control the belt in runtime.
