J1 Hard Stop Adjustment on the AdeptSix 300

Preface:

The following procedure describes how to set the hard/soft travel range limits on Axis-one (J1) of the AdeptSix 300 robot. Joint one of the AdeptSix 300 has an adjustable hard stop for each 30-degree increment, which the user can adjust as required.

Procedure:

  1. Determine the travel range requirement for the upper (+) and lower (-) limits.

Note: The system is supplied with the hard stop installed in the middle of the travel range to provide maximum upper and lower limits.

  1. Mark the position of the existing hard stop, then remove it.

  2. Once removed, re-install the hard stop to meet your specific range

    requirements.

  3. If your requirement is for both the upper and lower limits, proceed to step 5. If not, proceed to step 8.

  4. Install an M6 X 10 bolt for the upper limit requirement.

  5. Install an M6 X 10 bolt for the lower limit requirement.

  6. Set the new travel range soft limits via spec for the upper and lower limits.

  7. Set the new travel range soft limits via spec to account for the new range.

Note: Make sure that you account for the complete travel range required, including considerations for the other axis configuration.
