If your AWC system is not equipped with a floppy drive, you must complete the following steps to upgrade V+:
Check the software licenses (NFS, FTP and V+) and the IP address in CONFIG_C.
PING the IP address of the PC (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) If PING is unsuccessful, set up the IP address with the FSET command.
NET (make sure TCP/IP and NFS is active, and MOUNT/NODE/PATH has entries. If not, the node must be set up using the FSET command.
ID to check the current software version.
FDIR NFS> xxx: (Scrolls through directory of shared PC drive, if not, you must set up PC shared drive(s).
Verify that the VGB switches are turned off.
Verify that the AWC switches are set to boot via Ethernet, using the IP address in NVRAM (Switch 1,2,4 - ON, Switch 3 - OFF).
Scan Ethernet connections from AWIN (AdeptWindows).
Boot the controller across the network with the new V+ version on the shared PC drive.
Check the NFS connection using the NET command (if NFS is not active, enter the FSET commands again at the dot prompt).
LO (load) and EX (execute) DISKCOPY and copy the new version of V+ utilities to the \UTIL directory.
ZE (zero) memory.

Respond
to prompts is new V+ version on diskette? (no) access new V+ via NFS? (yes).
Enter shared drive and path, and copy from PC to D:/.
